Dara Vanesian, the Navajo County GOP chair, has sent him a letter asking him to distance himself from the Aug. 28, 2012, party rules formulated at the national convention in Tampa.
Known as the Tampa Rules, they were put forth by the Romney campaign specifically to silence or otherwise suppress the grass-roots wing of the party.
They have been called Tea Partiers; Vanesian refers to them as the Liberty Wing.”
